First of all, thank you for providing such a useful web site. It has helped considerably in my quest to replace my petrol mower.
I do not subscribe to Facebook so will not be joining your group and wondered if you would mind answering by email just one question regarding the Hyundai HYM40LI420SP.

Can the mower be used without the side chute fitted? If so I can leave it off permanently as I do not need that function.
I will buy either the Hyundai or the Bosch AdvancedRotak 36-660. Either way I will use the links from your site as I assume it may do you some good.

Thanks for your positive feedback.

The Hyundai HYM40LI420SP does not have a side chute for side discharge, it’s the Hyundai HYM80LI460SP that does.

Yes the chute can be removed and left off the machine, no problems.
