End of life Batteries

I purchased via you a murray cordless mower iq18wm37 on 3rd feb 2022. 18v lithium-ion cordless lawnmower model 883265. reg id 5201437335181293874. (phew!!) Today I think my 2 2.5ah batteries have expired. Mower kept diying. looked like it had 25% charge then down to 5%. They are now charged to 100% but not yet tried. I see they are under warranty for 3years. Are these batteries still covered under warranty? If I need to buy new, can you supply? Could I replace with the larger 5ah 90wh batteries. they fit as I borrowed my next door neighbours who liked they look of my mower. How long do Batteries generally last? Many thanks for your help.

Your Murray mower batteries (purchased Feb 2022) are unfortunately just out of warranty as of March 2025, as the 3-year coverage expired last month. The sudden charge drops you're experiencing are typical of battery degradation. After trying a full charge cycle, you'll likely need to purchase replacements. You can either buy new 2.5Ah batteries or upgrade to compatible 5Ah batteries for longer runtime. These typically last 2-3 years or 300-500 charge cycles with normal use, so your current battery failure aligns with expected lifespan.
