Yes with some brands it can be difficult to get the battery to get out of the charger. as long as you have the release button pressed on the battery it will come out with a little pull or push without doing any damage. On some charges I had to tap the battery out with a rubber mallet, again as long as the button is pressed you will be fine, over time it will loosen up.
