Looking to replace a Bosch advanced 36 750 with something self propelled

Looking to replace a Bosch advanced 36 750 with something self propelled

I have had a couple of Bosch cordless mowers, the latest being the above which is now 3 years old and just out of warranty and I am beginning to struggle with the slope a bit. I also feel that the Bosch is going to have issues with the handle and the start switch as it has been back to Bosch under warranty a couple of times to fix issues, which is how I found your site.

The Bosch doesn’t like cutting below a 4 setting. It seems to forms a sort of vacuum on the grass and it becomes difficult to push and the harder you push the more it digs into the grass surface, digging bits out occasionally, which I am keen to resolve.

I have probably settled on the two EGO SP mowers 1701 or 1901 for the extra power and the self propelling. Both are currently on offer on the EGO web site.

Would you have any other suggestions. i was looking at a petrol SP until I found your site with all the other options. The front lawn is around 200sm and the back is larger although in ambrogio robot keeps the back in order with me only running round the edges with the Bosch.

Thanks for reaching out about your mower situation. You're spot on about the EGO mowers - they're solid choices and should definitely handle that slope better than your current Bosch.

I hear you on the Bosch issues. Those handle and switch problems can be a real pain, and that vacuum effect at lower settings sounds frustrating.

The EGO SP 1701 or 1901 would be great picks, especially with that current offer. Nice find!

If you're open to other options, I can vouch for the Cobra RM4140V. I use it on my 500m² lawn and it's a champ. If you're not fussed about lawn stripes, the Cobra MX460S40V is another good shout.

Sounds like you've got a good setup with the Ambrogio robot handling the back. Either the EGO or Cobra should make quick work of that 200m² front lawn and the edges in the back.

Let me know if you need anything else. Happy to help you find the right mower for your needs!

Regards
Mark

Having just checked EGO seems to have the worst trust pilot rating i have ever seen although most of the reviews are from US.
