Stihl or Cobra cordless roller mower

Hello, I have found your website and videos very helpful in my research for a cordless roller mower.
Cobra seems to be my top but I do also see some good review on Stihl – this also having mulching option as well as roller.
I was wondering if you have a view or any advice as this is quite an investment.

Hi, both the Cobra and the Stihl mowers are well built and perform well. What models did you have in mind?

From my personal experience, I'm not sure that mulching and rear rollers go together in all conditions. You will need to make sure the lawn is completely dry, as the roller will pick up the mulched cuttings and you will see small clumps on the lawn.

What was the Stihl cordless mower you were looking at?

Hello Thank you very much and that is interesting about the combination of a roller and mulching. I am looking at Stihl RMA448RV and Cobra MXS51SP80V. I did wonder if for mulching I could effectively mow without the box on the Cobra - just occasionally when short cut to help with nutrients in the grass. Many thanks

Hi, Yes the Stihl does look impressive, but to be honest I have not tested any Stihl mowers so would recommend the Cobra. I use the smaller Cobra RM43SP80V on my lawn and absolutely love this mower for so many reason. Using the Cobra without the box will result in grass on the lawn depending on the lawn height and cutting height, as it will not circulate the cuttings around the deck.
