Mountfield electric mower problem?

Mountfield electric mower problem?

Answer Question

The new Mountfield model has a fabric bag instead of a solid box which i preferred being more hard wearing. The problem I found was the roller kept splitting apart on my bumpy lawn, a common problem reading reviews. Also there is a weakspot in the design with the handle bars where they join onto the chassis. They attach to a piece of plastic that is screwed onto the chassis which could come lose when lifting, where most other lawn mowers use a bolt that threads through the body & tightened with wing nuts. The 34″ corded lawnmower i bought is the Gardena Powermax 34 / 1400w with a 40litre plastic grass box. No mulching plug but its a good budget model for small lawns.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. What Mountfield mower are you referring to? Yes there are several manufactures that use the grub screw to secure the bars to the chassis. I will take a look at the Gardena Powermax 34.

Thanks
Mark
