It is definitely not too big for your garden; the extra power is actually a benefit when dealing with heavy moss. To answer your questions: 1. Functions: Yes, it will take care of raking, scarifying, and aerating using the two interchangeable drums provided. 2. Timing: April is not too late, as long as the grass is actively growing. 3.
