Really need help chosing a petrol mower for my small gardening business please.
| ♥ 0 | Hi I’m a sole trader gardener who usually mows various lawns from small to large. I’m looking for a 46cm self propelled mower that mulches. I’d like good manouverability due to the gardens i mow in and also having bad wrists. I need to get the mower in and out of a caddy van, I am quite strong even with the wrist problems but can get a ramp for the right mower. | Private answer Hi there, All three mowers you’ve shortlisted are solid choices and should get the job done nicely. The Stiga with the Fulcrum handle could be especially helpful for manoeuvrability, particularly with your wrist issues, as the adjustable handle might make it more comfortable to use around tight spaces ( I have bot tried this myself). That said, the Hyundai and Mountfield are also good options, and most mowers in this range will be fairly similar in performance. Features like a cleaning port and large collector are great to have, but I’d focus on comfort and ease of use for your wrists. A ramp for your van is a good idea too!
