Best robot mower under £1k?
| ♥ 0 |
Hello, I’m considering purchasing the YUKA mini 500 or the Anthbot Genie 600 (£100 cheaper) from Amazon for my garden. Thanks for your in depth reviews! Which one would you recommend? According to your reviews, the YUKA is scored slightly higher. I also have a few questions: How will it handle my flush-to-lawn stepping stones which effectively split the lawn into 2 sections? Will it cross them? Will it cut the strip of grass in between each stepping stone? Will it be able to handle cobbles and cross a small soil area (maybe 12 inches long) in order to navigate to the second lawn at the front of the house? How close does it cut to the edge of the lawn? I have 1 wall as a border on one lawn edge and the other borders are all level paving. Thank you ANSWERED

Hello, Thanks for your message! Between the YUKA Mini 500 and Anthbot Genie 600, the YUKA scores slightly higher in navigation and cutting precision, making it generally the better choice despite the higher price. To answer your questions: Stepping stones: If they’re flush with the lawn, the YUKA should cross them with no issues in terms of cutting as you can adjust the obstacle avoidance. Cobbles and soil patch: The YUKA handles uneven surfaces better and may cross a firm, level 12-inch soil patch, but loose or uneven ground could cause issues with the 2 front dolly wheels. Cutting close to edges: Both leave a small margin (1-2 cm) near walls or paving. The YUKA trims edges more precisely, but you might need to manually tidy right next to walls as you would with any robot mower. Overall, for complex lawns and better reliability, I recommend the YUKA Mini 500. Let me know if you need more info! To see this mower in action, see my video below. There are links in the review should you want to purchase. At the moment there is also a limited offer of free garage. https://easylawnmowing.co.uk/mammotion-yuka-mini-review/ Hope this helps.
