Can a docking station be away from the lawn?
| ♥ 0 |  I have a fairly small lawn which is next to our patio. I would like ideally to have a robotic mower that can dock on the patio next to the wall of the house. After charging it would be able to travel over the patio to the grass, do its cutting and then return to the docking station via the patio. From the models I’ve looked at, I can not tell if this is possible or not, as most seem to indicate that the docking station is on the lawn itself. Can you help? Many thanks! | Private answer Hi Charge stations away from the lawn with travel over a patio, normally means GPS guided robotic mowers. I did exactly that with the Luba 2 robotic mower, you can see the setup position here: https://youtu.be/-wB4qZVpA6o. The only issue is that GPS (RTK) robotic mower are designed for larger lawns and therefore are costly. Do you have a large lawn, say 1000 metres squared plus?
