How do I add 4G capability to a Mammotion Yuka 1500?

If I buy a 4G SIM card and fit it to my Yuka 1500, how will the robot recognise it and receive instructions? Also what is the most economical SIM card to buy for this purpose?

For LUBA 2 AWD X series and YUKA 2025 series products, they are equipped with a built-in 4G module (built-in SIM card). Mammotion will provide 1 year of free 4G Service.

It’s interesting to see how they define 'built-in' here. It’s important to understand that 'built-in' is a business term, not a technical one. On the Yuka series, these modules are standard components that are physically modular. The reason they insist on 'sending the unit in for repair' and label it as 'built-in' is simply to protect their subscription revenue and simplify their support logistics—they don't want to support users with custom APN settings. If you’re comfortable with a screwdriver, the hardware itself is just as capable of running on your own SIM as the Luba 2 is. Don't let the marketing language discourage you from using the hardware you already own.
