When manually guiding the robot the very first time as I want it to not cut my tulips – when do I stop manually moving it around ? Do I guide it all the way back to the charger station, please?
Can I guide it around the tulips and then hit the AUTO button for the remainder of the lawn ?
Many thanks – your videos are great.

Thank you so much for the kind words about the videos!

To ensure your tulips are safe, you first need to map the entire perimeter of your lawn as shown in the video. You must guide the robot all the way back to the charging station to successfully complete and save the map; you cannot hit "AUTO" halfway through the initial mapping process.

While the LiDAR should ideally detect the tulips as obstacles and avoid them automatically, if it does not, you should mark those areas as no-go zones within the app. Once the tulips have finished blooming for the season, you can simply remove those no-go zones so the mower can cut those areas again.

Hi Mark, I have big challenges with my M5 Anthbot LiDAR. I received it on Friday 24 April and installed it instantly. I have now done mapping (both auto and manual) maybe 20 times. When I start the robot ir runs for a little while and then stops and I get the message : "The robot is outside the map area. Please move it back into the map or return it to the charging dock.E306". I have carried the robot to the charging dock so many times this past weekend and I am very frustrated. Why do you think it is performing like this ? Is the robot I received faulty ? I cannot live with robot that's not reliable and my grass is growing as I write......Please assist. Another thing is the on line customer service on the App - no one ever bothers to respond at all - it seems to be worthless and gives me a bad feeling......I saw the video where you installed in in your garden with 3 lawns and that's why I purchased it. I only have 1 lawn - but it is not working as I had hoped.

Hi, That sounds very odd as LiDAR does not rely on any "signal" as such and should work well in your environment. I take it you have updated the app and the firmware to the latest version. Please feel free to email me the issue with a screen shot of your mowers identification number and where you purchased. I will then reach out to Anthbot directly on your behalf if that's okay with you. mark@easylawnmowing.co.uk Many thanks Mark
