Is the Mammotion Luba mini 2 1500 suitable for my garden?

Hi Mark, I’ve recently found your excellent website while researching robot mowers. Thanks to your brilliant reviews I’ve put the Luba mini 2 at the top of my list to buy. However, my garden has a combination of tricky features that are making me question if any robot mower would be suitable. Firstly I’ve a relatively small lawn area in my garden (c 400m2). There are 6 various shaped flower beds within part of this area which are separated with grass paths around 90cm wide. At the end of the garden is a 3m steep grass slope. The lawn boundary has further flower beds to each side with very few straight edges. Finally, although I have no overhanging trees, 4G reception isn’t great in my area and my WIFI currently doesn’t extend beyond the patio. For all the reasons listed I think a Luba mini 2 1500 would be better than the 1000. But I’m interested to get your thoughts on whether I’m asking too much of a robot mower. Particularly one designed for such a large area compared to mine. Would the Luba Mini be up to the task in your opinion? ANSWERED

Thank you for your positive feedback on my reviews—it’s much appreciated. Where Wi‑Fi and 4G reception aren’t great, the 1500 LiDAR model may be the better option. However, given your garden layout and its 400m² size, I’d still choose the 1000 model. In my experience, NetRTK allows you to define no-go areas more accurately. I extended my Wi‑Fi using an external TP-Link access point, which is relatively simple and inexpensive. You could try the 1000 first to see whether your 4G signal is sufficient for correction data before extending the Wi‑Fi. The mower is currently £100 off.
