LawnMaster OcuMow 18 vs LawnMaster L12
♥ 0 | Hi Mark, Is the OcuMow 18 suitable for a garden with undefined boundaries? I have flower beds surrounding 3 sides of the lawn and a tree in the middle. I would prefer a Drop and Mow mower as I also have some unconnected grass out front and would need to set up a second boundary wire but have also been considering the LawnMaster L12. Would appreciate any advice, cheers. ANSWERED Marked as spam Add comment |
Private answer The OcuMow 18 could actually be well-suited for your garden layout since it uses camera guidance technology rather than boundary wires. This visual navigation system is designed to recognise lawn edges and obstacles, which may work well with your flower beds surrounding three sides of the lawn. The camera guidance should be able to detect the transition between your lawn and flower beds, avoiding the need for physical boundary wire. Its "Drop and Mow" functionality aligns perfectly with your needs, especially since you have an unconnected front lawn area. You can simply pick up the mower and place it in different zones without worrying about connecting boundary wires between separate grass areas. Unlike the LawnMaster L12 which relies on traditional boundary wire systems, the OcuMow 18's wire-free operation offers greater flexibility and easier setup for disconnected lawn areas like yours. However, the effectiveness of its visual boundary detection will depend on how distinct the transitions are between your lawn and flower beds - if there's clear visual contrast, the OcuMow 18 should perform well in recognizing these natural boundaries.
