We have about 80 trees on an acre lot and our Luba 2 AWD is doing very well with the obstacles. You need to be able to accept that you may need to program it to avoid no go areas but it has a function that does allow it to see and avoid our trees.

    Thanks for your question!

It’s a bit difficult to give a definitive recommendation without seeing your lawn’s exact conditions, especially in terms of how rough the terrain is and how dense the tree coverage might be. You’re right that some users have reported that robotic mowers relying on GPS, like the Luba 2 AWD 5000, can occasionally lose signal under heavy tree cover.

However, the Luba 2 AWD does have some features to help with this: it’s equipped with a backup camera system that can help it navigate if GPS signal is lost, and it also offers the option for iNavi, which can improve navigation in challenging environments.

I’ll also be testing the Lymo robotic mower soon, which may turn out to be better suited for lawns with rough terrain and significant tree coverage—so keep an eye out for that review!

Let me know if you have any other questions!
