Hi! Thank you for the kind words about the channel, I’m glad the videos are helping you out.
Between those two, my personal choice is the LUBA Mini 2, which I actually use on my own 600m² lawn. Here is why I think it might be the better fit for you:
Edge Cutting & Safety - The LUBA Mini 2 features a separate side-cutting disc, which is ideal for getting a closer finish. The LUBA 3, with its two larger discs, actually leaves more edge trimming to do unless the mower can physically overhang the edge. My neighbor has the LUBA 3 AWD, and because he has a steel edge with a drop-off, he has to map with a small gap to avoid the mower going over and breaking the blade disc (which actually happened on his previous LUBA 2). This means he has to trim those edges manually.
Maintenance & Grass Buildup - The Mini 2 is actually superior when it comes to grass buildup. It has a protective plate over the top of the blades (you'll see this in my videos) that prevents grass from wrapping around and stopping them from rotating. The LUBA 3 doesn't have this, so it requires much more frequent maintenance to clear out packed grass.
Portability & Mapping - Since you are looking to maintain two separate properties, weight is a huge factor. The LUBA 3 is very heavy and large, making it a struggle to load into a vehicle. The LUBA Mini 2 is much more manageable for transport. One thing to consider: how are you planning to map two individual lawns at separate properties? You would likely need to use the "Drop and Mow" feature, as you can't easily run two entirely separate maps on one machine.
Is the LUBA 3 worth the extra £700? The LUBA 3 does have triple guidance technology (LiDAR, Vision, and RTK), which is great for gardens with heavy tree coverage or complex obstacles, but it sounds like your lawns might not be complex enough to need it. While the 165W motors are powerful, the 88W in the Mini 2 are more than capable for your sizes.
If you can use the LUBA Mini 2 effectively on that slope, it is the mower I would go for. It’s easier to maintain, better at edges, and much easier to move between houses.
