MAMMOTION YUKA mini 2 1000 and the LUBA mini 2 AWD 1500 for a relatively small lawn
Answer Question| ♥ 0 | I’m choosing between the MAMMOTION YUKA mini 2 1000 and the LUBA mini 2 AWD 1500 for a relatively small lawn, around 280 m². The lawn is a bit uneven but has no major gradients, and there is a large tree root area that I would probably map as a no go zone. I’m drawn to the YUKA because it is lighter, cheaper, LiDAR-based, but the LUBA has AWD, seems better for bumpy/wet ground, and may give a sharper edge because of its side cutting disc. Main question: for a small but imperfect lawn, is the YUKA mini 2 1000 good enough, or is the LUBA mini 2 AWD 1500 worth the extra money for finish, traction and edge quality? | Private answer Hi, Thanks for your question! Both are great machines, but my personal mower of choice is the LUBA Mini 2 1000, even though the YUKA Mini 2 worked perfectly well on my own lawn, which sounds very similar to yours. The main advantage of the LUBA is the side-mounted cutting disc, which allows it to get much closer to the edge for a cleaner finish. However, if your borders are level with the grass, you can simply map the YUKA to drive slightly over the edge to achieve a similar result. If you have the budget for the LUBA Mini, that would be my recommendation. It handles uneven ground excellently and, while aesthetics aren't everything, it looks absolutely fantastic in the garden.
