Mower that really does cut right to the edge.
♥ 0 | We currently have an early Flymo robotic mower which has worked well for a few years but it does leave uncut grass around the edges especially by flower beds and hard edges like walls and fences. So I do have to get the strimmer out every so often. Can you recommend an upgrade that does cut right to the edge? I think I read something about a machine that had a separate edge cutting blade but I cannot remember what model it was or where I read it and how does it fare generally? Private answer Hi If you're looking for a robotic mower that can cut right to the edge of your lawn and minimize the need for additional trimming, there are a few models worth considering. One such model is the Husqvarna Automower 450XH, which is known for its precision and ability to handle complex lawns with narrow passages and tight corners. It includes features like GPS-assisted navigation, which helps it maintain consistent coverage, and it can get closer to edges compared to older models. Another excellent option is the Worx Landroid WR155E, which has an edge-cutting mode designed to cut closer to the border of your lawn. This model is also equipped with a floating blade disc that can adjust its position to better handle uneven terrain and edges. Additionally, the Mammotion LUBA AWD 5000 is a newer model that has been gaining attention for its advanced features, including its ability to handle complex terrains and edge cutting. The LUBA 2 series is designed to offer precise mowing along edges and around obstacles, making it a strong contender for those looking to minimize manual trimming. Most robotic mowers require a boundary wire or virtual boundary that keeps them from going beyond the lawn's perimeter, which often results in a small strip of uncut grass along the edges. This is an inherent limitation of current robotic mowing technology. Thanks Marked as spam |
