Hello Mark,

Question 1 – When using the Spot mode, what happens when it comes to an edge. Does it just stop, or does it try to go along a boundary and then resume its Spot mode?

Question 2 – The position of the charging station is supposed to have 2m either side of it. That is not always possible on a curved edge or a small lawn. Have you tried it nearer a corner to see how well it returns to base (possibly using the magnetic strips to restrict the way)? Also, have you tried it just off the grass, after all who wants a black plastic square on their prize lawn ?

Thank you

Hi

I reached out to Cleva LawnMaster and here is there response to your questions:-

1. Question 1 – When using the Spot mode, what happens when it comes to an edge. Does it just stop, or does it try to go along a boundary and then resume its Spot mode? A: When using the spot mode – if the mower detects an edge, it will abort spot mode and return to random mode. This is the same behaviour as OcuMow 16

2. A: The customer could place the charging station closer to a corner, however this may increase the amount of time the mower will take to be able to dock. The 2m clearance is intended to give the mower plenty of space to manoeuvre as it searches for the orange strips on the charging station. If the charging station is closer to a corner, the chances of the mower becoming stuck or unable to manoeuvre around the charging station increases. Limiting the movement of the mower around the charging station with magnetic wire may also affect the mower’s ability to manoeuvre around the charging station as well. I wouldn’t recommend it.
