Ongoing maintenance of robotic mowers
♥ 0 | I currently have a McCulloch ROB S400 robotic mower, which is great, BUT: I find that the 3 rotating blades become jammed over time with bits of grass and dried sap. Once a week I unscrew the blades and clean them and the surrounding area, and that takes time and is a bit of a nuisance. My daughter owns a more expensive Husqvana robotic mower – it has a stainless steel plate underneath that protects the blades from this problem. What I hadn’t realised at the time of purchase was that, not only does Husqvana own McCulloch, it also owns Gardena and Flymo, and they all share common parts and probably operating systems. I am about to relocate to a smaller house and garden and will be buying a new robotic mower. I have watched your video review of the Lawnmster 10, which is a lot cheaper than the smallest Husqvana model: does it suffer from the same type of problem and how does it cope without a central guide wire?
