Robot mower

Good morning Mark,
thank you so much for your very useful videos on the different types of robotic lawnmowers.
Very exciting to see the new lidar technology.
I was wondering if you could please help me find the right one for us? Our ride on stopped working last year and I’ve just mowed with a traditional petrol mower but it takes pretty much a whole day and so would be fab to get one quickly as it’s just so time consuming and not possible to do long term.
The area that needs to be mowed is around 3,350m2
We also have some other areas but they could be tricky for the mower to get across to as we have stone driveway and I’m not keen on putting anything down on it to help the robot get across.
Please let me know if a photo to show you the garden on google earth would help as it would show tress etc
Thank you so much.
Best wishes
Iveta

Hi Iveta, for a lawn of that size (3,350m2), I would recommend the MAMMOTION LUBA 3 AWD. It is well-equipped to handle large areas and the LiDAR technology is excellent for navigating around trees. I will be reviewing this mower in the next week or so at my neighbours farm, so you will be able to see it in action soon.

If you have any other specific questions or concerns about the setup, please feel free to ask!

Thanks
Mark

Thank you so much for your reply Mark. I watched your video of the hooki x pro and read the review on your website and purchased it earlier on today. Hope that was the right choice or do you think that mammotion Luba would have been better?

The Hookii is still a great choice—my neighbor has one and it works very well. The main differences are that the MAMMOTION LUBA 3 AWD features 4WD for better traction and also includes RTK guidance, which the Hookii does not have. Both are capable, but the Luba offers those extra technical features for more complex navigation and difficult terrain.

You are so kind to reply so promptly and very useful to know the key differences, thank you so much. I now wonder whether I cancel the hookii order and get the Luba instead . It looks like it is available on pre order for early May. Your neighbour’s grounds are so similar to ours. I should have really waited for your reply in the first place.
