Robotic lawn mowers charging station

Robotic lawn mowers charging station

0

Hi Mark

Is it compulsory to put the charging fixed into the grass? Is there an option where the charging station can be in our outhouse and we just pick the lawn mower up and put on the grass to cut?

My grass is small, 9m x 5m.
Ideally I would prefer a robotic mower that would cut in lines as well.

Please advise.

thanks

The OcuMow 18 and 16 both have removable batteries that can be charged separately, so you don't need to install a charging station on your lawn. You can keep the charger in your outhouse and simply place the mower on your grass when needed. Either model would easily handle your small 9m x 5m lawn on a single charge.

While both models use random cutting patterns rather than straight lines, this works effectively for small lawns like yours. If you strongly prefer linear cutting patterns, you might need to consider higher-end models like YUKA mini.

thank you for the feedback. I read the review on the OcuMow 16 and watched your video. You mentioned that if we started mowing, and then half way through if it started raining then we will need to pick up the mower and take inside. But say if after 30 minutes, it has stopped raining, then can we mow the lawn on wet grass? Or will the mower remember what part of the garden it had cut previously, so not to go over that part again, My concern is the uneven cut grass at the end, as the mower will have done some before it rained and if it goes over that same part again, then grass length will be unever

The OcuMow 16 cannot operate on wet grass, so you should wait until the lawn is dry before resuming. The mower does not remember where it has previously cut, so it will not pick up exactly where it left off. This means when you restart, it will likely go over some areas that were already cut, potentially resulting in an uneven finish. To minimize unevenness, it's best to wait for the lawn to fully dry and then complete a full mowing session, which might include re-cutting some areas. The mower uses a random pattern rather than systematic mapping, so complete coverage eventually evens out the cut. Hope this helps, Mark
