Hi Mark
Am looking at the luba 2 mini 1000 or the new lidar mini 2 1500 . Lawn is about 900m2 so can get the smaller one but the top.section is surrounded by oak trees and limited wifi hence wondered if I need the lidar or whether the tri vision is as good? Would welcome your thoughts
Dave

I would definitely recommend going for the Luba 2 Mini 1500.

It is always better to "over-spec" your mower rather than buying one that is right at its limit. By choosing the 1500m² model for a 1000m² lawn, the mower will complete the job with fewer charging breaks, leading to better battery health and much higher efficiency.

Regarding the navigation, LiDAR is a game-changer for lawns with heavy tree cover. In my experience, LiDAR actually performs at its best in these areas because it uses the tree trunks and canopy as physical reference points to navigate, whereas GPS-only or vision-only systems can sometimes struggle.

For your specific setup with the oak trees, the LiDAR upgrade is absolutely worth it for the reliability alone. I’d go with the 1500!
