Yuka 1000 Perimeter laps

Yuka 1000 Perimeter laps

0

Hi Mark. I’ve recently purchased the Yuka 1000 and I’m struggling to change the number of perimeter laps. It’s doing three in practice and that’s as drawn on the task map but the app says it will do two – strange! I actually only want it to do one and having viewed your very helpful videos on setting one of these mowers up I wondered if you have come across this lack of flexibility in the Yuka 1000 and if you are aware of Mammotion are looking at updating their app to allow this. Thanks. Phil.

Mammotion reduced the perimeter laps from 3 to 2 but in a recent update seemed to have increased it back to 3 again, creating some confusion with what the app displays versus what the mower actually does. This discrepancy between the app indicating 2 laps while the mower performs 3 laps is unfortunately a known issue with the newer YUKA models. Many people on the user groups are complaining to Mammotion about not having the ability to specify how many laps if any, which is particularly frustrating for users who only want a single perimeter lap. This is not a problem on my YUKA because it is an older mower that retained more customisation options.

Many people are also complaining to Mammotion that the newer models seem to have less options than the older options, which seems counterintuitive for product evolution. From what I understand, this will be addressed overtime through firmware and app updates as Mammotion has acknowledged these concerns from their user community. The company appears to be working on restoring greater flexibility to match or exceed what was available in earlier models. For now, unfortunately, you'll have to work with the pre-set number of perimeter laps, but keep an eye out for updates that should eventually restore this customisation feature that many users, including yourself, are requesting.

Hope this helps
Mark

Many thanks Mark for your full and infomative answer. I look forward to the future updates which hopefully will restore the level of customisation that owners of older models enjoy! Phil.
