Yuka mini ??
| ♥ 0 | I have a small lawn of around 60–70 m² and had new turf laid last November. As I’m not getting any younger, I quite like the idea of a small robot mower to keep it maintained. I also like that they go out several times a week and keep the lawn looking really good. What I’m looking for: My one challenge is the charging base. Because of the electrics, it would have to sit on my new porcelain patio, so I can’t screw the base into the ground. I’d need some sort of alternative way to secure it , maybe a heavy slab, weights, or some other solution ,so suggestions on that would also be really helpful. At the moment I’m looking at the Mammotion YUKA Mini, which seems to fit what I want. ANSWERED Marked as spam Add comment |
| Private answer The YUKA Mini is an excellent choice and exactly what I would have recommended for your specific needs. It handles small lawns perfectly, follows a systematic mowing pattern, and avoids the hassle of boundary wires, which will keep your new turf looking pristine with minimal effort. Regarding your challenge with the porcelain patio, you definitely don't need to screw into your new tiles if you don't want to. I have my own base station set up on porcelain tiles and have found two great workarounds: * Silicone / Mirror Sealer: In my first year, I used a bit of silicone/mirror sealer to bond the base to the tile. It held firmly through all weather but could still be pried up if necessary. Naturally, screwing the base down is always an option if you are certain you won't want to move it, but for a porcelain patio, the Velcro or sealer methods are much friendlier to the surface. For a 60–70 m² lawn and a budget under £750, the YUKA Mini is likely the best value-for-money option on the market right now that ticks all your boxes.
