Overview of iNavi Service

Definition

The iNavi service from Mammotion is an innovative navigation system for robotic lawnmowers. This service works with a range of Mammotion robotic lawnmowers including the LUBA Mini (800, 1500 and H versions), YUKA Mini (500, 600, 700, 800), and full-size models such as the LUBA 2 AWD X and YUKA 2025 versions.

Elimination of RTK Station

The key benefit of iNavi is the elimination of the need for an RTK station. Traditional GPS-guided robotic lawnmowers typically require an RTK station either separately installed or mounted on top of the mower. With iNavi, this requirement is completely removed as it delivers RTK functionality over the network instead.

This makes the setup process remarkably simple. I can unbox the robotic lawnmower, position the charging station, secure it to the lawn, plug it in, place the mower on charge, add it to the app, select iNavi, and then simply instruct the mower to map my lawn and cut it. The elimination of hardware components significantly streamlines the user experience.

Network Delivery Options

Mammotion iNavi Service Network Delivery Options

iNavi offers two network delivery options for the RTK service:

4G Connectivity: Uses the SIM card that comes supplied with Mammotion robotic mowers.

Wi-Fi Connectivity: Available since late March/early April 2025 through a firmware update. The recent firmware update that enables Wi-Fi connectivity for iNavi is particularly valuable for users with adequate Wi-Fi coverage in their gardens. This eliminates the need to renew the 4G service (very competitively priced), potentially reducing ongoing costs whilst maintaining full functionality.

Mammotion continues to enhance their robotic lawnmowers through regular firmware updates, adding not just the Wi-Fi capability for iNavi, but also features like zigzag path settings, perimeter trimming, and improved obstacle avoidance.

YUKA Mini Series

The YUKA Mini series offers comprehensive iNavi compatibility across its entire range. The supported models include:

The setup process for iNavi on any YUKA Mini model is remarkably straightforward. After the initial unboxing and charging, you simply add the mower to your app, select iNavi service, and you’re ready to map your lawn. The recent late March/early April 2025 firmware update has enabled Wi-Fi connectivity for iNavi, which wasn’t available previously.

Mammotion Full-Sized Mower Models

For those with larger lawns requiring more robust solutions, Mammotion’s full-sized mowers also support the iNavi service over Wi-Fi and 4G. The compatible models include:

LUBA 2 AWD X Version

YUKA 2025 Version

These larger models benefit tremendously from the iNavi technology, eliminating the need for separate RTK stations while maintaining precise navigation. The service was initially released in Germany in March 2025 and became available in the UK in April 2025, other countries to follow shortly.

These full-sized models, much like their mini counterparts, receive regular firmware updates that enhance functionality beyond just iNavi support, including features like zigzag path settings, no-go zone perimeter trimming, and improved obstacle avoidance.

Recent Firmware Update

Wi-Fi Capability Enhancement

Mammotion iNavi Service Firmware Update

I’m pleased to share that Mammotion has released an exciting firmware update in late March 2025 that significantly improves connectivity options for robotic lawnmowers using the iNavi service. The most notable addition is Wi-Fi support for iNavi, which was previously only available through 4G connections.

This update arrived in late March/early April and brings tremendous flexibility to owners of compatible Mammotion mowers. The Wi-Fi capability means users with adequate garden Wi-Fi coverage can now operate their mowers without relying on the 4G service, potentially saving on subscription costs.

The firmware update includes several other valuable enhancements:

  • ZigZag path settings buttons
  • Manual right turn capability
  • No-go zone perimeter trimming
  • Random angle setting
  • Support for obstacle avoidance in channels

To update your compatible Mammotion mower, simply:

Open the app and look for the firmware update notification. If not visible, check for a red dot on the cog icon. Navigate to device information to find the update option. Select “One-click upgrade” to install.

After the update completes and the mower reboots, you can enable iNavi over Wi-Fi by accessing the positioning mode settings in the app’s configuration menu. Select “iNavi service” from the available options, and you’ll be ready to map your lawn without the need for an RTK station.

This update reinforces Mammotion’s commitment to continuous improvement, making their robotic mowers even more user-friendly and technologically advanced.

Advantages of iNavi

Simple Setup

Mammotion iNavi Service Installation

The iNavi service from Mammotion truly revolutionises how robotic lawnmowers operate. When using iNavi, I no longer need an RTK station for precise navigation. This net RTK solution delivers positioning data over either Wi-Fi or the included 4G connection. The simplicity cannot be overstated – unbox your mower, place the charging station, secure it to the lawn, plug it in, and connect to the app. Select iNavi, and you’re ready to map your lawn.

This means that I can now use iNavi without relying on the 4G service. This is particularly useful if you have strong Wi-Fi coverage in your garden.

Mapping the Lawn with iNavi

Getting iNavi working on my YUKA Mini required a simple firmware update. The process works identically across all compatible Mammotion robotic mowers. When checking the app, a notification for the update appeared immediately. If you don’t see this automatically, simply:

Tap the cog icon (look for the red dot indicator). Go to “Device Information”. Select “New Version” to update.

The recent firmware added several impressive features alongside the iNavi Wi-Fi support.

After updating, setting up iNavi is straightforward. I disconnected my RTK station (remembering to cap the connector to prevent water damage), went to Settings, then “Positioning Mode”, and selected iNavi service. This completely eliminates the need for external positioning equipment whilst maintaining precision navigation capabilities.

RTK Station Disconnection

I’ve disconnected my RTK station as it’s no longer needed with the iNavi service. When unplugging the RTK station, put the protective cap on the end of the cable to prevent water damage. This ensures the connector remains in good condition should you wish to use the RTK station again in the future. The iNavi service completely eliminates the need for a physical RTK station, as it delivers RTK corrections over the network via WiFi or the 4G SIM card included with Mammotion robotic mowers.

With iNavi configured, the setup process becomes incredibly straightforward – simply unbox the mower, place and secure the charging station, connect it to power, charge the mower, add it to the app, select iNavi, and then map your lawn.

Then sit back and enjoy your perfectly maintained and healthy lawn.
