Summary
I recently spoke about the Yard Force EW U15 which is a large pressure washer with some pretty decent features for the money. However, if you don’t need something quite as powerful as that, Yard Force has some impressive other options such as this Yard Force EW U13 and, much like its older brother, there’s quite a lot that got me excited.
If you’re keen to find a practical solution for most outdoor cleaning tasks then this pressure washer should be high on your priority list. It boasts onboard storage, easy use and a set of roll-along wheels that keep the washer moving with you as you clean. It can be used for pretty much any outdoor application including cleaning the patio, washing the car, rinsing out the bins; you name it.
But, what really stood out to me was the power behind this seemingly small piece of equipment. What it lacks in size, it puts out in power because, as the saying goes, good things come in small packages. Not only is it powerful, it is portable and super easy to store.

Power
As I mentioned earlier, you might think that for such a small unit, it wouldn’t harbour much power, but you would be mistaken. While this is certainly no commercial machine, for domestic situations it provides just the right amount of power and is very reliable.
Powered by 1800 watts and reaching a maximum of 135 bars of pressure, you’ll find that dirt is easily shifted, even in more stubborn areas. Yard Force tells us that this will work for most cleaning tasks and this isn’t just some sales gimmick, it will certainly produce impressive results.
While this is a corded model that comes with a 5 metre power cable, Yard Force also offers a cordless pressure washer for those who might find it difficult to access a power point during the clean. The battery operated Aquajet cordless LW CO2 is certainly worth looking into if you’re a fan of cordless tools.
Also, if we compare this compact and portable pressure washer to Bosch’s Equivalent (EasyAquatak 100) the Yard Force completely outperforms the Bosch not only in terms of performance, but also in terms of included accessories. This Yard Force model provides both a greater pressure output (35 bar greater) as well as a increased hose flow rate (60 litres/ hour greater). Having this significant increase in performance will certainly, in my opinion, be worth the small extra upfront cost.
When comparing these two pressure washers the only real advantage which the Bosch has over the Yard Force is the reduction in weight. Yes, the Bosch is half the weight, but the fact that this Yard Force has 2 handy wheels plus superior cleaning power, really does make it my first choice.

Weight
If you have ever battled with a larger pressure washer then you’ll know what I mean when I say it can be a nightmare. The last thing you need when using equipment like this is to struggle to get the pressure washer into place in the first instance. Cleaning isn’t always as simple as applying water and hoping for the best, for more stubborn tasks, you might need something to boost the clean. Fortunately, this Yard Force EW U13 comes with a great range of accessories that make this tool suited to a whole host of cleaning jobs.
This Yard Force EW U13 comes with a turbo nozzle and high pressure nozzle as well as a spray gun and tip lance, which is ideal for more direct cleaning. Things like getting that ingrained dirt from between the patio pavers or removing stubborn weeds become much simpler with an accessory like this. But even better, with a rotating turbo lance, the user has much greater control over the tool and you won’t find yourself having to contort your wrist into all manner of positions just to aim the spray where you need it to go.
The attachments are easy to connect and rather than having to store them elsewhere, this pressure washer has a handy onboard storage compartment at the back which simply clicks open.
Practicalities
I could go on and on about how great the onboard storage is or how convenient it is to have the folding handle for storage, but what really grabbed me about this pressure washer, practically speaking is how easy it is to use. You don’t need a degree in gardening equipment to hook up the connections and with a secure bayonet connection for the lance, you won’t need to worry about anything coming loose during the clean.
The rear of this Yard Force EW U13 comes equipped with two sturdy wheels, which allow you to pull the pressure washer around with you rather than picking it up and relocating it every time you take a few steps forward. I must say this is a very rare feature for such a small and compact pressure washer, so nice one Yard Force. That being said, with 5 metre power cord and a 6-metre cable, you’re getting a perfectly adequate reach range of 11 metres away from the plug socket. A 6-metre hose length, although not the longest in the world, is very standard when compared to other competitive brand pressure washers in this range. Furthermore, having a cable length of 5 metres is also very common across almost all pressure washers, not a major issue, but just something to be aware of.
The wide opening at the top of the pressure washer’s detergent bottle allows you to easily add in detergent without spills. Once you start cleaning, the machine will do the rest, automatically mixing water and detergent for an effortless and sparkling clean.
I should also point out that this product comes with a three-year warranty. The two-year warranty is as standard but if you want to take advantage of that final year, make sure that you register the product within 28 days of purchasing it.
One thing that is worth mentioning in terms of performance is that I have noticed that several users commented on leaks from the tank. Now, while this could be down to how the product has been assembled, it could potentially be an issue, so it is worth bearing in mind.

Every time I look at one of their products, it isn’t difficult to see the innovation that has gone into creating it whilst maintaining great value for money, and this Yard Force EW U13 pressure washer is no exception. It comes with everything you would need to achieve a detailed and precise clean without shouting about it.
The 135 bar pressure and 360l/h is more than enough to tackle most domestic cleaning needs and yet it comes in such a small, and almost adorable package.
