Summary
The Webb Classic WER410SP is a self-propelled petrol lawn mower designed for smaller lawns up to 600m² thanks to its 41cm cutting width and large 45-litre grass collection box. It offers 2 cutting functions including cut & collect and rear discharge. There is an excellent choice of 7 cutting heights from 25mm and 75mm.
If you’re looking for a solid petrol lawn mower that’s ideal for small to medium gardens, then you won’t go far wrong with the Webb Classic WER410SP. With a range of features to make gardening easier, this is a mower that’ll get the job done without any hassle. Plus, it’s super easy to use, lightweight and compact. You couldn’t ask for much more.
Of course, it’s easy for me to tell you all of this, but I’ll put my money where my mouth is and in this Webb Classic WER410SP review, I’ll run down all of the most important features to help you decide if this is the right model for you.
Note: There are two different versions of this Webb petrol mower, shown below are the differences between them.

Engine
The Webb Classic WER410SP runs on a 4 stroke engine which is robust and powerful. This engine has been developed by Webb which is a reliable British brand, so you know you can trust the quality and performance. Moreover, with low vibrations and low fuel consumption, it’s efficient and comfortable.
As mentioned above, the engine is the Webb DVO130 132 cc engine (2.5kW @ 2800rpm/min) with a 0.8 litre fuel tank and is supplied with both the push and self-propelled models.
Performance
The Webb Classic WER410SP is an excellent mower for smaller to medium sized gardens. It’s easy to manoeuvre and works very well when you’re having to tackle obstacles on the lawn.
In terms of cut, since this is such a reliable brand, it’ll come as no surprise that the Webb Classic WER410SP delivers in this aspect. The result is a neat, clean and well maintained lawn that’ll quite easily be the envy of your neighbours.
The fact that this is a smaller 41cm deck and Webb and providing a more powerful 132 cc engine, means that this smaller petrol mower is not going to struggle with longer and more difficult grass like some other mowers of this size. For example, the Hyundai HYM400P has a 40cm deck, but is only provided with a 79 cc engine, which is potentially underpowered when the going gets tough.
The self-propelled drive on the Webb Classic works as expected, is a single speed, with the pace being just about right. More on this below.

Self-Propelled Drive
Most petrol mowers have a self-propelled drive and that makes moving them around so much easier. The Webb Classic WER410SP is no exception, so if you don’t want to exert yourself, it’s the perfect mower for you. If you do not want to use the self-propulsion it can always be disengaged.
However, if you prefer a push mower, you’re in luck since there is also a non self-propelled version of the Webb classic; the WER410HP.
Blade and Deck
What I love about the Webb Classic WER410SP is how robust it is. The steel deck will stand up to any challenge your lawn has without breaking or weakening. Moreover, the strong metal blades are sharp and efficient, delivering that neat cut I spoke about earlier.
The Webb Classic WER410SP has a 41cm cutting width which makes it ideal for small to medium lawns of up to 500 square metres. Of course, if you need something a little larger then Webb has got you covered as there is a bigger 51cm version of the Classic; the Webb WER510SP. Similarly, there is also a 46cm model the Webb Classic WER460SP so you’ve certainly got options if you like this particular range of petrol mowers.
Handles
The handles on the Webb Classic WER410SP fold away easily making it much more compact, than it already is, for storage. The handle also features a soft foam grip, so it’s super comfortable to use and won’t leave your hands feeling sore when the mow is over. Not only does this make it more comfortable to use, but the foam grip also goes someway to absorbing any vibrations from the engine.
Height Adjustment
I’m a sucker for a petrol mower with a good amount of cutting height options purely because I want to have versatility. The Webb Classic WER410SP didn’t let me down as it has seven cutting heights that range between 25mm and 75mm. These can be easily changed with a single lever, so there’s no messing about.
Mowing Features
Where the Webb Classic WER410SP lets you down slightly, is that it doesn’t have as many mowing modes as I would have liked to have seen. You have the traditional cut & collect with a 45 litre fabric grass box, which allows better air circulation and therefore the clippings are more compacted inside.
There is also the ability to rear discharge the cuttings which allows the clippings to be neatly deposited behind the mower as you go. However, the lack of a mulching plug and side discharge is a downside and something I would have liked to have seen.
Grass Collection Bag
The Webb Classic WER410SP comes with a 45-litre fabric grass collection bag, that will fold down flat for easy and compact storage. There is no grass full indicator on the collection bag.
There is also the inclusion of a solid metal handle to make attaching and removing the collection bag from the mower easy.
Practicalities
First and foremost, I have to mention that the Webb Classic WER410SP comes with a two year warranty. No, it’s not the longest, but it’s pretty standard and gives you a good amount of peace of mind. Moreover, the customer service you get from Webb is second to none. Whether it’s new parts you need or any other kind of after sales support, you’ll be welcomed with open arms.
The four stable wheels make this a very easy to use petrol lawn mower which is stable and manoeuvres like a dream. Even if the terrain is sloped or slightly more rugged, you’ll have no problems navigating around it. This is mainly due to the wheels being slightly larger at the rear of the mower (front 18cm, rear 20cm) and the presence of the bearings in each wheel making them turn more freely.

Pros and Cons
Should You Buy This Model?
If you want a petrol mower that is reliable and will easily get around a smaller lawn or garden, that is perhaps filled with obstacles, then I would certainly recommend the Webb Classic WER410SP. It’s very user friendly and has enough features and power to give your lawn a professional look without over complicating things. For this reason, it’s a great choice for anyone using a petrol mower for the first time that wants a excellent value for money petrol mower.
It’s also brilliant for people who have sloped or uneven gardens as the self-propelled drive just makes it so much easier to get around. However, if you have a bigger garden, I would recommend opting for one of the larger models in this range.
With all that being said, you simply can’t beat the Webb Classic’s value for money. If we compare, both the self-propelled and the non-self-propelled models from Webb to an equivalent Hyundai model, the cost is pretty much the same, however Webb are giving you the excellent Webb DVO130 132 cc engine, where Hyundai would only supply you with their somewhat underpowered 79 cc engine.
Conclusion
Webb is an excellent British brand that has a reputation for quality at an affordable price, and the Webb Classic WER410SP certainly lives up to this. A robust and powerful lawn mower designed for everyday mowing of small to medium sized gardens that really does give an immaculate result. While there are a couple of minor things that could be improved, they’ll by no means ruin your mowing experience and I have no problem recommending this mower. These mowers are so popular that they tend to go out of stock quite quickly during the mowing season, so don’t waste any time as you won’t be disappointed.

Thank you for the review. I purchased the Webb 132cc Self Propelled petrol lawnmower in October ‘22. I very much regret it now for one reason alone, the travel speed is too fast, factory set and non adjustable. I’m in my mid 60’s and I now use the lawnmower without the self propelled function ☹️
Hi John, thanks for your observation. Yes this mower only has a single speed at 3km/h. Below I have included a mower selection tool where you can specify your requirements including variable speeds of mowers that I have tested and reviewed (12 to choose from).

I agree with you – I am 71 with a heart condition…first use I couldn’t keep up the pace and like you – pushing the damm thing. Going to sell it even though it only been used once.
