Summary

When it comes to trimming and maintaining those awkward corners of the garden, your lawn mower just isn’t going to cut it. While there are a lot of commercial grade petrol trimmers out there, these are often too big and too powerful for the domestic hobby gardener.
But that’s where the Einhell GC-BC 52 I AS petrol brushcutter comes in. This is a powerful tool that’s ideal for general garden maintenance. With a 1500w 2 stroke engine and plenty of user-friendly features, if you’re a home gardener, it’s a tool I’d highly recommend.
While the Einhell GC-BC 52 I AS petrol brushcutter does weigh quite a bit, it comes with a carry strap so you can work in the yard for hours without putting your back out. This, along with several other features makes the Einhell petrol brushcutter a machine that you simply have to have in your tool shed.

Einhell GC-BC 52 I AS Petrol Grass Trimmer Features
Power & Engine

What I love about the Einhell petrol brushcutter is that it’s got a powerful enough engine for what the tool is designed for without trying to go over the top. With 1500w of power turning up to 7200rpm (52cc), the Einhell will make light work of most general garden tasks.
This is a two-stroke engine that benefits from an auto choke function, so you won’t have any more problems when cold starting your tool.
What’s more, this Einhell brushcutter’s engine is high performance with low vibration so you get a more comfortable user experience. That said, I have to point out that it’s pretty loud so it’s probably worth getting some ear defenders, especially if you have a lot of yard work to get done.
Performance
Sometimes, a trimmer won’t get the job done which is why I love the fact that the Einhell GC-BC 52 I AS petrol brushcutter is a two in one tool featuring a line feed and a scythe cutter. This versatility means that you won’t need to switch tools halfway through a job because the Einhell petrol brushcutter does it all.
You’ll also benefit from incredibly accurate cutting. If you’re looking for a tool that will work well in manicured gardens with a lot of curves, angles and tight spots then this is definitely something worth considering. When cutting along fences, pathways, and other obstacles, this Einhell delivers a neat, clean finish every time.
Blade
As I have mentioned, this Einhell petrol brushcutter comes with a two in one design. Firstly, you have the 3-toothed metal blade which is great for more heavy-duty tasks. The blade is super accurate and durable, so it’ll get things done the first time, every time.
When you need something for more light work, switch over to the auto bump feed line spool which is ideal for grass, weeds, and other general jobs.
Practicalities

One of the things I love about this Einhell GC-BC 52 I AS petrol brushcutter is that it boasts a split shaft. This simply means that the shaft comes into two which makes storing and transporting the tool a whole lot easier.
If you’ve never used a petrol tool before then you’re likely umming and arhhing purely because of how notoriously difficult they can be to start. But that won’t be a problem with this Einhell since it has a starter flap on the carburettor which ensures the machine starts first time. Moreover, there’s a controlled flow of fuel so once it’s up and running, it’ll always be stable. The auto choke I mentioned earlier is also imperative in getting the machine fired up without any issues.
However, if there’s one thing that lets the Einhell GC-BC 52 I AS petrol brushcutter down, it’s the fact that the handle isn’t padded and is therefore not the most comfortable thing I’ve ever used (so wear a good pair of padded gloves). Yes, the controls are within easy reach, but I think Einhell could have gone a little further when considering the handle design. It might seem like a non-issue but when you’re using the tool for a long time, you’ll be thankful for a comfortable handle.
Accessories
I won’t lie, the Einhell GC-BC 52 I AS petrol brushcutter is a little heavy at 8.9kg. You might not have any issues if you’re pretty strong and only have a bit of work to do but any more than that and you’ll need a bit of support. But the Einhell GC-BC 52 | AS petrol brushcutter comes with a carry strap which makes moving it around so much easier.
You’ll also get a full tool kit in the box for assembling and maintaining your brushcutter.

As a seasoned expert in the field of garden power tools, I have dedicated over a decade to working with and reviewing a wide variety of lawn mowers. My extensive experience has allowed me to gain a deep understanding of the benefits and limitations of different types of mowers and garden tools.
Over the years, I have honed my skills in writing informative articles and creating helpful videos for various blogs and publications. This has given me the ability to not only recognise what makes a good lawn mower, but also to help you choose the perfect garden tool for your specific needs and requirements.
With my wealth of knowledge and expertise, I am confident that I can provide you with valuable insights and recommendations when it comes to selecting the right lawn mower for your lawn. So, whether you're looking for a battery cordless, electric, petrol, or robotic mower, you can trust in my expertise to guide you towards the best option for your garden.
I’m sure everything you say is absolutely true and this might be a marvellous machine. Sadly, I’ll never know as mine refused resolutely to start. I have started dozens of cord pull machines thousands of times over the last 30 years so am not a novice, thus I think the average user should be aware these engines have an extremely high compression ratio for what they are – too high as Einhell concede. They also have a truly vicious kick-back – mine did anyway, and will cause you pain in whichever hand you use to pull the cord and is likely to bruise your other as the cord flies violently back.
I was delighted to see the back of mine, as silent and unsullied as the day it arrived and Einhell seemed not at all surprised to expect to receive it.
