Cordless Lawn Mowers

If you want the convenience of an electric mower without the hassle of cords, a cordless mower is a great option. Improvements in battery technology, from the nickel-cadmium battery to lithium-ion batteries makes them last much longer and has reduced the weight significantly.

The convenience is amazing and you can zip around your garden with complete freedom. The only negative with a cordless option is that they are slightly more expensive and the battery will need to be charged before it can be used. A full charge would be enough to cut your lawn in most small to medium lawns. For larger lawns  you can always purchase a spare second battery, if needed.

Pros:

  • Complete freedom to move without cable concerns.
  • Easy to use.
  • Low maintenance.
  • Low running cost.
  • Integrated roller for stripey lawn.

Cons:

  • Can be more expensive than electric mowers.
  • The charge will only last for so long and recharging takes time.
  • Not as powerful as most petrol lawn mowers.
