Known for its German engineering and power, Einhell is a brand that has a fantastic reputation within the garden tools industry. When I heard about the Power X-Change RASARRO range of cordless lawnmowers from the brand, I was incredibly excited to try them out.
There are three mowers in the range and in this Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower review, I’ll be discussing the features of the smallest model. However, I’ll also be posting separate reviews of the other mowers in the collection to help you decide which is the right model for you.
The Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower is suitable for lawns up to 300 square metres and comes with a handy array of features to make lawn care easy. What I really like is how powerful a cut you get considering the size of the machine and what uniform results the Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower creates. Power System and Battery
If there’s one thing that comes to my mind when I think of an Einhell tool, it’s power and the Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower doesn’t let the side down. While this is the smallest model in the range, it still comes with two 3.0Ah 18 v batteries so it’ll really deliver in terms of power.
These batteries deliver enough juice to cover up to 400 square metres, although this mower is recommended for lawns up to 300 square metres, owing to the deck size. In any case, you won’t run out of power halfway through the mow.
What’s more, these are Einhell’s Power X-Change batteries meaning they are compatible with an amazing 300 other tools from the brand. If you regularly buy Einhell tools then this is going to be great news. However, I did notice that there isn’t an option to buy this as a bare tool so, if you already have a lot of batteries, you won’t be able to save money by skipping them when you buy the Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower.
Battery Charger
When you buy the Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower, you not only get two super powerful lithium ion batteries, but two chargers as well.
There’s nothing more frustrating than buying a lawn mower with two batteries only to find you get a single charger. Having two makes it so much quicker and easier to give the batteries and boost and get back to caring for your lawn.
Performance
Fitted with an electric brushless motor, the Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower runs very smoothly and reliably. However, it does have a petrol style starter bar which is a familiar feature for many people and may make the mower easier and more comfortable to use.
Having such powerful batteries, you get a good run out of the Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower and the cut is impressive. This is an excellent model to use if your lawn is overgrown as the motor will handle things with ease and won’t succumb to any strain or pressure.
Deck and Blade
The Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower is made primarily of plastic which might have you believe that it’s not very robust, especially compared to metal mowers. But believe me when I say that this is a seriously sturdy piece of equipment that’ll handle challenges with ease.
The body is not only robust but, being made from plastic, is incredibly lightweight. Underneath, you’ll find a 34 cm cutting deck that covers more lawn in one go, meaning you spend less time mowing. Although, again, I’d urge you to keep in mind that this one is suitable for lawns up to 300 square metres.
If you have a slightly larger lawn then there are two other models in the range; the 36/38 which is suitable for lawns up to 450 square metres and the 36/42 with a 42 cm cutting deck suitable for lawns up to 725 square metres. For more information on these models, please see my other reviews.
Wheels
For anyone with an uneven lawn or for those who just want a bit of extra stability, the large wheels on the Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower will ensure this. It’s designed to be really stable on all terrain, but the wheels are not so cumbersome that they’ll damage your lawn.
What’s more, the design of the wheels ensures that you get a super even cut all over the lawn, including right up to the edges.
Handles
One of the things that I really liked about the Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower was its handles. It’s fitted with a fully adjustable handle that can be moved to one of three different angles. This allows you to find a position that’s comfortable for you and reduce strain on your back and shoulders when mowing.
What’s more, the handles fold down when the mower is not in use, making it much smaller and easier to store; even when you’re pushed for space.
Height Adjustment
The Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower comes with a choice of 5 cutting heights that range between 25 mm and 65 mm. It is worth noting that the two larger models in this range have a choice of 6 cutting heights, but five is more than enough for the average domestic gardener so this certainly wouldn’t put me off buying the Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower.
I also really like how precise the cutting height settings are. You simply move the central lever into your desired position and it’ll stay securely in place, giving you a clean and even cut at a height that suits the season and your lawn.
Grass Collection Bag
The Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower comes with a 30 litre grass box. Now, while this is going to prevent you from having to empty too frequently, I have seen similar sized cordless mowers with slightly larger grass boxes. It’s not a dealbreaker for me but one of the few minor downsides I could find about this model.
That said, this is a hybrid grass box so it functions really well. The fabric sides ensure excellent airflow so the clippings are as compacted as possible, allowing you to get more in there. At the top, there is a plastic lid which offers stability and can be removed so the whole thing collapses for easy storage.
If you purchase the larger models then you’ll get a much larger grass box. The 36/38 comes with a 45 litre grass catcher while the 36/42 comes with one that holds up to 50 litres of clippings.
Practicalities
One of the first things I noticed about the Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower was how easy it is to manoeuvre. This is thanks to the lightweight design and ergonomic handle which just makes this such a comfortable lawn mower to use.
Earlier, I touched on the foldable handle of the Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower which is certainly useful when it comes to storage. But the overall design of this mower is compact and convenient which is great for people who don’t want their garden tools to take over the available space in the shed.

Should You Buy This Model?
I think the Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower would be an excellent model for anyone that is moving over from using a petrol model. My reasons for this are twofold. Firstly there is the petrol style start which might make the transition a little easier. Additionally, this is a very powerful little mower for such a small model so if you were worried about losing power, that isn’t going to be an issue.
I also think that the Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower is perfect for those who are limited on storage space but still want a mower that’ll blast through lawn maintenance with ease. It’s the perfect blend of power, robustness and convenience all wrapped up in one 34 cm package.
What’s more, this Einhell RASARRO 36/34 comes with a two-year warranty, so in the unlikely event that anything does go wrong, you can feel confident that you are covered. Conclusion
I’ve always been a fan of Einhell lawn mowers and I knew that the Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower was going to impress me. But I couldn’t be prepared for just how impressive it was going to be.
This is the smallest model in the range and is recommended for lawns up to 300 square metres. While the battery capacity would work on even bigger lawns, the 34 cm cutting width might make mowing anything over 300m² a bit of a task.
What I noticed about the Einhell Power X-Change RASARRO 36/34 cordless lawn mower was the lack of cons. Usually when I review a mower, I’ll find something that makes me question whether this is a worthwhile product. But with this one, there were few drawbacks and even then, they were so minor that they’re hardly worth a mention.
Overall, I’d say that this is a fantastic investment for anyone looking for a cordless mower. It’s not the cheapest model on the market nor is it the most expensive. But what you can guarantee is that it comes from a brand whose reputation you can trust.
