Summary
Flymo’s SimpliGlide 360 is the big brother of the SimpliGlide 330 and offers a larger 1800w motor and a 36cm deck. This mower uses a hover system to reduce effort when moving around your lawn and it is aimed at medium garden sizes. The Flymo SimpliGlide 360 has 4 cutting heights that range from a low 10mm to 30mm and weighs in at only 7.5kg.
Flymo is a well-known brand that is under the Husqvarna umbrella. This instantly lets you know that you will be getting an excellent quality product and the SimpliGlide 360 is a nice little machine. While it isn’t all singing, all dancing, it is the ideal lawn mower for getting outside and quickly cutting the grass before getting on with your day.
It features four cutting heights and always delivers the clippings back to the grass; there isn’t a grass collection box, so you’re not spoilt for choice. However, you’ve got enough there to meet basic domestic needs, which is something that appeals to a lot of homeowners.
Moreover, this is a lawn mower that handles beautifully, so if you want something that isn’t going to feel cumbersome and awkward, this is definitely a model worth considering. There’s quite a lot of other attractive features and in my Flymo SimpliGlide 360 review, I’ll be covering all of them, so let’s get started.
Main Features
- 36cm cutting width
- 4 cutting heights from 10mm to 30mm
- Foldable handle
- Lightweight at only 7.5kg
- Front wheels for easy transportation
- Dual lever operation
- 1800 watt motor
Power System And Performance
I was instantly attracted to the powerful 1800 watt motor inside the Flymo SimpliGlide 360, which offers a pretty impressive performance, especially when you consider what an affordable mower this is. This power ensures that the mower is easily able to tackle a wide range of grass conditions. It will even make light work of thick or dense grass without putting up much of a fuss.
You will get a neat and clean finish to the lawn and getting around the garden is super easy. This is thanks, in part, to the 10m power cable which doesn’t limit you in the way shorter cables might (naturally a longer cable would have provided even more reach). In addition to this, the Flymo SimpliGlide 360 floats on a cushion of air meaning that it moves around the lawn so easily.

Features In Detail
Blades
The Flymo SimpliGlide 360 features a metal blade that boasts an exceptionally long life. Couple this with the good quality plastic polymer deck and you’ve got something that has remarkable durability and reliability. Of course, plastic doesn’t have quite the same robust nature as metal, but is perfectly suited to light domestic use and what’s more it will not rust. Provided you don’t mistreat it, it will stand the test of time for as long as you need it to.
With a 36cm cutting width, the Flymo SimpliGlide 360 is suitable for medium sized gardens. However, this is the largest out of a group of three, so if you feel that you might need something smaller, the two younger brothers could be a better choice. The SimpliGlide 330 and 300 are both 1700 watt lawn mowers with 33cm and 30cm cutting width respectively and are suited to much smaller lawns, while still having many of the same features as this Flymo SimpliGlide 360.
I know that this may sound confusing, so I have created a comparison table below to show the differences between the range of Flymo SimpliGlide hover mowers. This should hopefully assist with your choice.

Handles
One of the best things about the Flymo SimpliGlide 360 is that it features easy to use handles. With a simple and easily accessible push button, you can get going without exerting yourself. Moreover, the dual control levers mean that you can operate the mower with either hand. This adds to the manoeuvrability of the appliance as well as giving your greater flexibility.
The handles also fold flat making storing the mower far easier. Much more than this, this feature also means that you can hang the mower on the wall, freeing up even more space in the garden shed or garage!
Quick release levers would have been nice, however unscrewing the wing nuts doesn’t take too long.
Height Adjustment
The Flymo SimpliGlide 360 features a choice of four cutting heights. Now this is pretty low when you compare the mower to other non-hover mowers on the market, but if you only want something simple, then this will more than meet your needs. The lowest cutting height is 10mm and the highest is 30mm. This is perfect if you want to keep your grass much shorter as 10mm is one of the lowest heights I have seen.
However, the downside is that there is no central height adjustment lever. Instead the Flymo SimpliGlide 360 features a spacer system. These spacers must be inserted or removed as needed, which means that changing the cutting height is a little more tasking than I would have liked.
This height adjustment process can be seen in the video below.
Cutting Diameter
As mentioned this is the largest SimpliGlide model with a cutting width of 36cm. Not huge, but remember unlike a traditional mower, this hover mover can be moved from side to side as well as forwards. This means that a hover mower will cover more lawn in a single pass than a larger 4 wheeled mower.
Mulching
The Flymo SimpliGlide 360 does not come with a grass collection box. This might be an inconvenience to some users, but you must consider that it takes a lot of the work out of mowing. You won’t have to worry about stopping to empty, which can interfere with the speed of your cut.
Instead, the Flymo SimpliGlide 360 always delivers the grass clippings back to the lawn as mulch. This will benefit your grass as it will receive important nutrients meaning that your lawn will be healthier, lusher and greener. Also don’t forget that you will not need to dispose of the clippings.
Flymo SimpliGlide 360 Practicalities
One of the most outstanding aspects of the Flymo SimpliGlide 360 is how lightweight it is. It weighs just 7.5kg making it so easy to use and again, ideal for anyone who might have strength issues. Moving it from one place to another couldn’t be easier either, since it features two front wheels for incredibly simple and effort-free transportation.
Moreover, this is such an affordable lawn mower. If you don’t want to break the bank when buying your garden tools, then this is definitely something worth considering. OK, you don’t get a ridiculous number of features but, as I have mentioned, you get everything you need for basic gardening.

Pros and Cons
Should You Buy this SimpliGlide 360?
If I was going to recommend this lawn mower to anyone, it would be people who want something simple and effortless. The kind of person that would benefit from the Flymo SimpliGlide 360 is someone who doesn’t want the hassle of having to get to grips with a complex, expensive lawn mower. This model allows you to plug in and mow without any messing around.
I would also suggest this to people who might otherwise struggle to handle a heavier machine. Owing to its super lightweight design and hover action, this is a lawn mower that is incredibly easy to move around, even if your mobility or strength is somewhat limited.
If you are after something with a lot of versatile features such as an extensive number of cutting heights or lots of mowing options, then this isn’t the model for you. I would suggest looking at a petrol lawn mower or one of the more advanced cordless models currently on the market.
However, if you have already decided, like so many others, that a hover mower is the best option for you, then this latest range of Flymo hover mowers released in 2021 is definitely something you should consider. There are hover mowers available from other brands, but these are limited in number and do not have the years of experience and expertise that Flymo bring to the hover mower market.
Conclusion
The Flymo SimpliGlide 360 is a nifty lightweight lawn mower that is perfect for easily maintaining your lawn. It is not bursting with fancy features, but what it does give you is a powerful motor that delivers a very impressive and clean cut for such an affordable piece of equipment.
Manufactured by Husqvarna, you know that you are getting a high quality product that is going to deliver on durability and performance. You can’t ask for more than that for just s sniff over £100.

Bought the Flymo 360 Simpliglide to replace our old Flymo. The worst decision EVER. The Flymo 360 SimpliGlide has not a patch on the older style Flymo 360. The new model has to be used like a petrol mower and be pushed in a forward motion and cannot be used effectively on a sloping lawn. This mover is so difficult to use it tacks additional 50% longer to mow our lawn and takes so much energy. Looking for a new mower as this one, until Flymo get back to what they know best, will be in the dump.
