If you are looking for a self-propelled petrol lawn mower that boasts an impressive range of features, then you would be hard-pushed to find anything that rivals the Titan Pro zero-turn lawn mower. Not only does it have 3-in-1 mowing features and excellent manoeuvrability thanks to its two rotating front wheels, but it is also great value for money.
You could pay the same price for a lawn mower with far less to offer so if getting a bargain is on your radar, this is a mower worth considering.
The Titan Pro Zero Turn mower is incredibly easy to use with the renowned Kohler Courage XT775 recoil start 4 stroke engine that doesn’t require multiple attempts to get going, as well as having an easy height adjustment and a huge grass collection box.
There isn’t a lot I can say about this mower that puts it down; overall, I’ve been very impressed with what I have seen. But surely it can’t all be good! Well, in this review of the Titan Pro Zero Turn I take a look at all its features and function, so you have all facts about this self-propelled zero-turn petrol mower.
- Front castor wheels for zero-turn manoeuvrability
- Lockable wheels for stability on steep slopes
- 3-in-1 mowing features
- Massive 80-litre grass box
- 20mm to 95mm cutting heights
- Self-propelled drive with variable speeds
- Powerful KOHLER engine
- Large 56cm cutting width
The Titan Zero Turn lawn mower is equipped with a robust and reliable KOHLER Courage XT775 engine that won’t let you down. It has amazing torque and power delivering a precise, sharp and effective cut every time.
The cast aluminium gearbox means that you are getting a reliable machine that will stand the test of time. This model also boasts a 0.6-litre fuel tank.
This mower was made for larger gardens thanks to the 56cm (22-inch) cutting width that will make light work of bigger spaces. But what captures your attention most of all is the front castor wheels which allow the mower to turn on its own footprint. This zero-turn ability means that no area of grass is ever left uncut and makes this a great time saving tool for gardens where there may be challenging edges.
Aside from being incredibly easy to move around, the Titan offers incredible precision meaning that the amount of times you need to pass one area is dramatically reduced.
Being such a heavy piece of equipment (47kg), it goes without saying that this Titan Pro Zero Turn lawn mower would need a self-propelled drive.
The self-propelled rear wheel drive boasts variable speeds that can be matched to suit your specific pace and the terrain of the lawn.
Blade and Deck
The Titan features a very generous 22-inch cutting deck – that’s almost 56cm making it perfect for larger gardens. However, this isn’t the only thing that is impressive about the deck, its design stretches beyond the wheels of the mower and this contributes to the excellent precision that we discussed earlier. A great feature of this Titan is the ability to mulch the lawn without you having to insert a separate mulching plug. The design of the deck and the flap that closes when the grass collection box is removed, will automatically switch this mower into a mulching mode. More about mulching and its benefits later.
The mower deck is very well built and durable, with the manufacturers calling it ‘premium’ and I have to say, I agree with this statement.
Having the ability to adjust the cutting height is essential across the changing seasons and depending on the initial length of the grass.
As you will see from the comparison chart below the Titan has the widest range of cutting heights available of all of the zero-turn mowers available.
You have several options ranging between 20mm and 95mm, that is extremely generous and market leading, but what impressed me the most was how easy the height adjustment was. The Titan Pro zero-turn mower boasts a one-touch height adjustment making it efficient and super quick.
It is worth noting that only the rear wheels adjust their height by using the single lever, this is due to the rotating front wheels being fixed to the chassis. The height of the front wheels can be adjusted, however you need to remove both wheels and attach them to the required position. This is achieved relatively easily by unscrewing a single hand nut on each side and then reattaching, no tools are required.
One of the things that makes this such a great value mower is that you have the choice of three mowing functions – cut & collect, side discharge and mulching.
You can collect your clippings in the huge 80 litre grass box or opt for the side discharge option. If you want to ensure that your grass gets all the nutrients it needs then there is also a mulching mode. This allows the grass clipping to be whizzed around the deck and chopped into much finer pieces before being returned to the lawn to improve its condition.
There are so many benefits to mulching your lawn, but not only that, you are saving time and doing your bit for the environment.

Grass Collection Box
If you have a large garden to cover, the last thing you will want is having to stop to empty the grass bag every two minutes. Fortunately, this model comes with a massive 80-litre grass bag that is hard to rival.
The grass collection bag is made from fabric but is pretty durable and this design won’t add any significant weight to the mower. Because this is an all cloth grass collection box, there is not grass box full indicator.
The most obvious practical point of the Titan 22-inch lawn mower is that it is superior when it comes to manoeuvring. If you have ever struggled to move a hefty petrol lawn mower around the garden, you will appreciate the ease of movement that you will experience with this Titan mower due to its zero-turn ability.
What’s more, with so many options for how you mow including mulching, cut and collect, side discharge and the option to lock the wheels, there isn’t a lot that this mower can’t do. It’ll reach up to edges leaving barely anything uncut, saving the need for multiple tools such as grass trimmers.
There are only a handful of zero-turn push mowers available here in the UK and this Titan is one that should be considered as your next purchase. Below I have created a handy table detailing the top few zero-turn mowers available, so you can compare all the features and functions of each.
